I’ll try and keep
this post short because I mainly just want to show off pictures of the finished
room. The film project has come to an end and I have to admit that in
the midst of the relief of meeting the deadline I’m a little bit sad the project is
over.
Before we started I had heard a lot of horror stories about
group projects from other people on other courses so I was a bit nervous. All the
stories made me feel like I found the exception with our group because I can
honestly say I've enjoyed this project more than any other so far at DMU.
It wasn't all sunshine and happiness though of course there
were still disagreements, technical problems, and crunch time. Nonetheless we
managed to overcome those problems through communication, teamwork, and perseverance.
Once again this is the shot we were trying to recreate ...
.. and here is the final result.
As you can see there are still some differences we could
have improved upon, mainly with the lighting but I am still immensely pleased
with how the final result tuned out.
Some more shots showing the assets I worked on (I also made the wallpaper texture)

This project was also our my first real experience with UE4
and I feel that it pushed me to learn a lot more about how it works than I
would have at my own pace.
Next up is the sentry gun project, I am looking forward to
it but it will be strange working on my own again.
