Unfortunately I didn't manage to finish the textures to a quality of my liking, hopefully I will get a chance to go back and add some more material definition.
I also added some movement to the cogs using blueprints to give it a little bit of extra life. Admittedly the movement isn't entirely realistic. I would have liked the cogs to move in time with the turrets movement as if it was a fully working mechanism.
I just don't have the know-how and familiarity with the blueprint system to pull it off quite yet. So at the moment its just another thing I would like to return to and improve later.
One thing I am pleased with though is the topology of my model, especially around the dragons mouth, I payed extra attention to where I put the loops when modeling that part and it payed off.
You may notice some unnecessary cuts in the geometry on the base, that's just so I could split it into quarters and layer up the UV's to save texture space.
